Frequently Asked Questions
HOW MANY TRACKS ARE THERE?
There are two tracks. The summer bobsleigh track, which is open in good weather and the all-year, all-weather alpine coaster track. If it rains, we cover the alpine sledges with waterproof covers.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO TRACKS AND THE BOBSLEIGHS?
We recommend the summer bobsleigh track for more sporty types keen on higher speed. It's worth trying! The alpine bobsleighs are larger, more comfortable for two people and are equipped with a backrest and safety belts.
The summer bobsleighs are not equipped with safety belts, meaning that you need to pay special attention to keeping your balance and we recommend a slower speed.
ATTENTION! Brake before the bends!
The alpine sleighs are fixed to their track, so you won't fall out under any circumstances.
HOW MANY RIDERS?
The bobsleighs on both tracks are two-person sleighs, but you may also ride alone. For adults riding together we recommend the alpine coaster.
WHICH TRACK IS RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN?
We recommend both tracks, however, please note that children under 3 are not allowed to ride.
Children between 3 and 10 may only ride in the company of an adult or a child aged 10+.
ARE TICKETS ISSUED PER PERSON OR PER BOBLSLEIGH?
Tickets are valid per person, meaning that two people sharing a two-person bobsleigh need to buy two tickets. There are also passes valid for six or ten rides. Passes may be shared, meaning that in case of two people sharing a six-ride pass they will have three rides each regardless whether they ride alone or together.
DO YOU NEED TO BOOK?
There is no need to book in advance. Anyone keen on bobsleigh riding is welcome to visit during opening hours every day of the year (except 24 December).
We are also open for groups outside regular opening hours, but bookings need to be made in advance.
DO YOU HAVE TO QUEUE WITH TICKETS?
Yes, you have to queue even with purchased tickets and passes.
The good news is that even during busy times anyone keen on riding the summer bobsleigh only has to wait 1-2 minutes for the next ride.
HOW LONG IS THE TRACK?
Both courses are 700 metres long.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE TRACK?
4-8 minutes, depending on choice of speed.
HOW DO I GET TO THE TOBBOGAN PARK?
The Visegrád Tobbogan Park is located in the Danube Bend on the southern slope of Mount Nagyvillám, around 6km both from Visegrád and Main Road 11.
There are signs along the roads guiding visitors to the toboggan park.
On foot it is 2 km from Visegrád along forest trails.
CAN YOU BUY THE RIDE PHOTOS?
Yes. After the ride, you can take a look at your photo, order it on the touch screen, pay for it and have it printed out for you on the spot.
