Frequently Asked Questions
HOW MANY COURSES ARE THERE?
There are two courses. The summer bobsleigh course open in good weather and the alpine course open all year round depending on the weather. If it rains, we cover the bobsleighs with waterproof covers on the alpine course. The alpine bobsleigh course is open all weather.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO COURSES AND THE BOBSLEIGHS?
We recommend the summer bobsleigh course for more sporty types keen on higher speed. It's worth trying out. The alpine bobsleighs are larger, more comfortable for two people and are equipped with a backrest and safety belts.
The summer bobsleighs are not equipped with safety belts, meaning that you need to pay special attention to keeping your balance and we recommend a slower speed.
ATTENTION! Break before bends!
The bobsleighs are fixed to the track on the alpine course and are unable to jump off the track, so you won't fall out under any circumstances.
HOW MANY RIDERS?
The bobsleighs are two-man sleighs on both courses, but you may also ride alone. We recommend the alpine bobsleighs for two adults.
WHICH COURSE IS RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN?
We recommend both courses. Children under 3 are not allowed on the bobsleighs.
Children under 8 may only ride in the company of an adult or child over 8.
ARE TICKETS ISSUED PER PERSON OR PER BOBLSLEIGH?
Tickets required for using the course must be purchased per person, meaning that you need to buy two tickets for a two-man bobsleigh. There are also passes valid for six or twelve rides. Passes may be shared, meaning that two people have three rides each in the case of a six-ride pass, depending on whether you ride alone or together.
DO YOU NEED TO BOOK?
There is no need to book in advance. Anyone keen on bobsleigh riding is welcome to visit during opening hours every day of the year (except 24 December).
We are also open for groups outside regular opening hours, but bookings need to be made in advance.
DO YOU HAVE TO QUEUE WITH TICKETS?
Yes, you even have to queue with purchased tickets and passes.
The good news is that even in the peak season anyone keen on riding a bobsleigh in summer only has to wait 1-2 minutes for the next ride.
HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
The track of both courses is 700 metres long.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE COURSE?
4-8 minutes, depending on choice of speed.

The Visegrád Bobsleigh Course can be approached from Highway 11.
It is located around 6 km from Visegrád and Highway 11 in the Danube Bend on the southern slope of Mount Nagyvillám.
It is 2 km on foot along the forest trails.
